A Note on Dental Health Before Starting Treatment
Dr. Mansour recommends that patients have had a professional dental cleaning within the last 6 months before beginning orthodontic treatment — for braces or Invisalign®. Brackets bond most reliably to clean, healthy enamel, and orthodontic appliances make teeth harder to clean once treatment is underway. Starting with a clean foundation protects your teeth throughout treatment. If it’s been more than 6 months, we recommend scheduling a cleaning with your general dentist before your bonding appointment. Not sure? Just ask us — we’re happy to help you coordinate.

~60 minutes
This is where everything begins. Dr. Mansour conducts a full clinical exam including a review of your jaw, bite, and tooth positions. CEPH (cephalometric) and panoramic imaging are taken at no charge — giving Dr. Mansour a complete picture before making any recommendation. You’ll also complete a brief health history form if you haven’t already done so online.

Dr. Mansour walks you through his findings and presents your treatment options — what’s clinically recommended, why, and what each option involves. This is a conversation, not a sales pitch. He’ll answer every question directly and give you a realistic timeline for each option. There is no pressure to commit at this visit.

Our treatment coordinator presents a complete cost estimate for each applicable treatment option. OrthoFi automatically verifies your insurance benefits, applies them toward your balance, and walks you through flexible monthly payment options that align with your treatment timeline — all with a $500 minimum down payment. FSA and HSA funds are accepted.

1–2 weeks after consultation (or same day if schedule permits)
For braces: a bonding appointment is scheduled to place your brackets and wires. Same-day starts may be available depending on the schedule — ask at your consultation. For Invisalign®: an iTero digital scan maps out your treatment plan. Your custom aligner trays are fabricated and delivered at a follow-up appointment, typically 2 to 4 weeks later. For Phase 1 treatment: your specific appliance is ordered and a fitting appointment is scheduled.

Every 8–12 weeks
Throughout treatment, you’ll visit SPOCS every 8 to 12 weeks for adjustments. Dr. Mansour monitors your progress at every appointment, checks that treatment is tracking correctly, and makes any needed modifications to your plan. Consistent attendance keeps your treatment on schedule — rescheduling delays progress.

One of the best days
The day your braces come off or your Invisalign® treatment is completed. Your teeth are polished, your final records are taken, and your retainers are delivered. If you’ve opted for Philips Zoom™ whitening, this is the ideal time — available at completion for $500. Ask about enrolling in the SPOCS 5-Year Retainer Program at this appointment.

Ongoing
Retention is where your investment is protected. Clear retainers are delivered at debanding and worn nightly after the initial full-time wear period. The SPOCS 5-Year Retainer Program is $750 and covers your retention period with replacement retainers available at $50 instead of the regular $225. FSA and HSA funds are accepted for retention costs.
