No referral needed — you can book directly at SPOCS without a recommendation from your general dentist or any other provider. Call 727-242-8000 or schedule online at spocsorthodontics.com. It’s that simple.
Yes — completely. Your first visit includes a full clinical exam, CEPH (cephalometric) X-ray, and panoramic X-ray at no charge. There are no hidden fees and no obligation to start treatment. You will never be billed for your first visit.
You can book online at spocsorthodontics.com or call us at 727-242-8000 during office hours. Walk-ins are welcome for consultations, but calling ahead is recommended to make sure Dr. Mansour has dedicated time set aside for your visit.
Plan for approximately 60 minutes. This includes your digital X-rays, a full clinical exam with Dr. Mansour, a review of your treatment options, and a financial overview. If you have questions — and most patients do — Dr. Mansour takes the time to answer them.
Bring your dental insurance card if you have one. A list of current medications is also helpful for your health history form. For children, a parent or legal guardian must be present. That’s it — we handle the rest.

SPOCS uses OrthoFi for financing — an orthodontic-specific platform that automatically verifies your insurance benefits, applies them toward your balance, and offers flexible monthly payment plans that align with your treatment timeline. A $500 minimum down payment is required. There are no hidden fees and no CareCredit. FSA and HSA funds are accepted.
Yes — FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and HSA (Health Savings Account) funds are accepted for orthodontic treatment at SPOCS. Orthodontic treatment qualifies as a medical expense under IRS guidelines. If you have FSA funds approaching a year-end deadline, this is worth factoring into your timing.
Treatment cost varies based on the type of treatment and your case complexity. The only accurate number is the one Dr. Mansour gives you after reviewing your imaging at your complimentary consultation. For general ranges, see our blog post ‘How Much Does Orthodontic Treatment Cost in St. Petersburg’ at spocsorthodontics.com/blog.
Yes. SPOCS is a single-location, single-orthodontist practice. Dr. Mansour personally conducts every consultation, every adjustment, and every clinical decision throughout your treatment. You will not be passed between associates or seen by different providers.
Yes — Dr. Mansour is a multilingual provider. Consultations and ongoing care are available in English, Spanish, and Arabic. Patients and families who prefer to communicate in Spanish or Arabic are very welcome to do so.
Yes — SPOCS treats patients of all ages. Dr. Mansour sees children as young as 6 or 7 for early evaluations, teenagers for braces and Invisalign®, and adults at any age including patients in their 40s, 50s, and beyond. There is no age at which orthodontic treatment stops being an option.
The mural on the exterior of the SPOCS building was created by artist Diego Sanchez-Barillas, a 21-year-old RIT graduate and SVA MFA student who also designed the SPOCS logo. It’s a love letter to St. Petersburg — dolphins, sea creatures, and the colors of the coast. You can read the full story at spocsorthodontics.com/blog.

Yes. SPOCS offers a dedicated TMJ & Neuromodulator Therapy Program for patients experiencing jaw pain, chronic headaches, bruxism, and related symptoms. This is a medically supervised program — not standard orthodontic treatment. Learn more at spocsorthodontics.com/tmj.
The SPOCS TMJ & Neuromodulator Therapy Program is a cash-pay program. We do not bill insurance directly. However, we provide a full documentation package after your procedure — including a letter of medical necessity from Dr. Mansour — that you can submit to your own insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. FSA and HSA funds are accepted.
No. You can book a TMJ evaluation at SPOCS without any orthodontic issue. If Dr. Mansour determines that a bite problem is contributing to your jaw pain, he will explain that at the evaluation. A TMJ consultation is $300, applied in full toward your treatment plan if you move forward.
Call us at 727-242-8000 during office hours and we’ll answer any question you have — no commitment, no pressure. You can also send us a message from our Contact page.
